My feet are trying to tell me something – they love these shoes. The beauty of the 230 is not what it has, but what it does not. The 230 has nothing in place to inhibit the natural motion of your foot. It strikes the perfect balance of allowing your foot complete freedom while still allowing traction and protection from harmful things underfoot. It has become the top shoe of the Crossfit crowd ... for good reason.  They can take you from the gym, to the road, to the trail and back. The 230 is a “minimal” shoe and Inov-8 is a “minimal” shoe company.  If you looking for a good introduction to minimal shoes, this is a great place to start.  But a word of caution here. Minimal and natural foot motion are terms that are being increasingly used to describe certain shoes because of growing consumer interest. Just know that not all so called minimal shoes are created equal.  If you haven't already, you will soon see "minimal" offerings from every footwear company.  Our advice: when shopping for minimal, stick with companies that focus ONLY on minimal.  Inov-8 is one such company and the F-lite 230 is a fantastic do-it-all minimal shoe.
